The Role

The Sales Solution Consultant at Assai is a professional who combines strong technical expertise with business acumen to guide prospects and customers in understanding and adopting our solutions. This role plays a critical part in the sales cycle, providing in-depth technical consultation, crafting tailored demonstrations, and architecting value-driven solutions to meet client needs.

The ideal candidate excels in bridging the gap between functional possibilities and customer business objectives, ensuring a seamless transition from interest to commitment.

Key Responsibilities

Pre-Sales Consultation

  • Collaborate with the Vice President Business Development North America and other Sales Managers and Account Managers to understand client and prospect challenges, pain points, and requirements.

  • Lead tailored product demonstrations, technical workshops, and discovery sessions to showcase Assai's capabilities.

  • Maintain and prepare standard demo environments, ensuring a compelling, professional presentation of product features.

  • Act as a technical liaison, addressing prospect and client queries and concerns to ensure alignment with their business goals.

  • Participate and prepare where needed our participation in events.

Solution Design and Development

  • Design customized solutions and workflows that meet client objectives, enhancing customer experience and operational efficiency.

  • Develop proof of concepts and operational walkthroughs to highlight the tangible benefits of Assai’s solutions.

  • Coordinate with the Product and Implementation Teams to ensure alignment between the proposed solutions and product capabilities.

Proposal and Documentation Support

  • Draft technical content for RFP/RFI responses, ensuring clarity and alignment with client and prospect requirements.

  • Support financial proposal preparation by estimating the impact and ROI of proposed solutions.

  • Provide technical insights during contract negotiations to clarify solution deliverables and manage expectations.

Customer Engagement

  • Build trusted relationships with clients and prospects, positioning Assai as a strategic partner.

  • Serve as a primary technical point of contact during the pre-sales phase, ensuring responsiveness and reliability.

Market Insights and Feedback

  • Stay updated on trends in the oil & gas and energy industry as wel as document management and adjacent technologies, identifying emerging opportunities.

  • Share customer feedback and market insights with the Vice President Business development Asia Pacific, Sales and Account Managers as well as Product, Marketing, and Service Desk Teams to inform product development and strategy.

Additional Information

  • Work location is Houston, US.

  • You will need to live in and have a work permit for the US. We will not accept applications without this requirement.

  • Full-time employment (40 hours per week);

  • Possibility to work partly from home (40%);

  • Competitive salary, based on qualifications and experience, between $ 90K – 145K

  • Bonus component based on KPI’s.

Job requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in IT/Engineering or equivalent relevant experience.

  • 5+ years’ experience in pre-sales, preferably in software sales (SAAS) as well as the Energy industry.

  • Strong understanding of operational processes such as project management, engineering, and maintenance.

  • Proven ability to build lasting relationships across multiple levels within client organizations.

  • Results-driven and proactive in solving customer issues.

  • Fluent in English; additional regional languages are a plus.

  • An analytical mindset and attention to detail.

  • Energetic team player with a collaborative spirit and forward-thinking attitude.
