The Role
The Sales Manager APAC plays a crucial role in nurturing and managing relationships with existing accounts, ensuring satisfaction, and identifying opportunities for account growth. This position also includes elements of business development within the Oil & Gas, Chemical, and Energy industries. The role involves collaborating with re-sell/SI partner(s) and the Assai team to ensure seamless service delivery and customer success.
Responsibilities
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
Act as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, addressing their needs and aligning them with Assai’s solutions.
Identify opportunities to expand product usage or introduce new services within existing accounts.
Conduct regular status and strategy meetings with client management to gain insights and foster trust.
Manage account-specific projects, including coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
Oversee the preparation of proposals and quotes tailored to client needs.
Collaborate with the business development team to identify and pursue opportunities for upselling or cross-selling.
Occasionally assist in new client acquisition by leveraging existing relationships and market insights.
Attend relevant events, conferences, and meetings to represent Assai and strengthen client relationships (approximately 4 trips outside Malaysia annually).

Work location is our office in Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia)
You will need to live in and have a work permit for Malaysia. We will not accept applications without this requirement.
Full-time employment (40 hours per week);
Possibility to work partly from home (40%);
Competitive salary, based on qualifications and experience, Bonus component based on KPI’s.
Job requirements
Bachelor's Degree in IT/Engineering or equivalent relevant experience.
Experience in account management, preferably in software sales (SAAS) as well as the Oil & Gas/Energy industry.
Strong understanding of operational processes such as project management, engineering, and maintenance.
Proven ability to build lasting relationships across multiple levels within client organizations.
Results-driven and proactive in solving customer issues.
Fluent in English; additional regional languages are a plus.
Analytical mindset and attention to detail.
Energetic team player with a collaborative spirit and forward-thinking attitude.
